Garmin nuvi 1350,1350T 4.3 InchWidescreen Portable navigator. I bought this device ten days ago and I am satisfied with it indeed. The navigator is excellent, I like its mainstream feature and innovative navigation. Now I bought a new navigator, as the previous one has been stolen from my car, it was also Garmin nuvi 1350T which I really loved.

Then I bought "Magellan", but it did not satisfy me, and I decided to buy Garmin nuvi 1350. This time the price really surprised me, I got it only for $247 – Amazon.

I preferred it to 1390T as I do not need Bluetooth, which is the only difference between them. I was afraid that the quality of Bluetooth would not suit me, as I know it to be quite poor in general on this devices. The way most people use Bluetooth was the main reason.

Usually I get out in my car and that’s why I always need my Bluetooth to make calls. But I do not need navigator all the time.

And as the previous navigator was stolen, and such a thing happens rather often, I prefer to hide it in the car or take it from the car, when I need to get out. But if you want to have Bluetooth on your navigator, you will need to mount the device every time you get in the car no matter you need it or not.

This should be done in order to have Bluetooth. But if you have forgotten to do it and your cell rings, there will be no Bluetooth. That’s why I bought a separate bluetooth speaker phone (Jabra). And I’m satisfied with its quality. And I always have  Bluetooth when it is needed. Having bought 1350T instead of Nuvi 1390T I managed to save about $75.

However there are some trifle disappointments.  The Lane Assist is not available everywhere, though it works great. When I used NYC, it was helpful. But in Pennsylvania it was not available when I tried to upstate it. Marketing material not always tell you this drawback. But nevertheless it is a great thing, when you can obtain it, it brings you to traffic. Here is the same story. I got no warnings from the traffic feature about a jam when driving through PA. and the reason was that it was unavailable. PA area the traffic alerts started working only when I was in Scranton

The problem was that I was not warned beforehand and the program changed the route automatically. The offered rout was good, but had it been given earlier, it would have been better. Moreover the given route added significantly many mile. I decided to check my own route and ignored the offered one. And there was no jam on my route.

So, I could have driven 50 extra miles in vain. So traffic feature should not be the main point in choosing your navigator. But any way I purchased the 1350T for almost the same price as the same 1350 # without traffic. It was more difficult to update a map than I had expected, though I have always considered myself to be a technical person when working with computers or other gadgets, but it took me a few times to update the map. Thus I suppose some people will have problems with updating maps.
